He lectures and writes extensively on the legal, tax and business aspects of investment funds, and recently testified on behalf of the Managed Funds Association about offshore tax issues affecting hedge funds at hearings held by the U.S. House Ways & Means and Senate Finance Committees.
In related news, the firm has announced that special counsel Josh Dambacher has transferred to the London office from New York. “We are committed to our investment management practice in the UK, which is an integral part of the firm’s preeminent capabilities in this area,” Alan Waldenberg, head of SRZ’s Tax Group and a member of the Executive Committee, said of the move. “Josh’s involvement in fund formations as well as his advice to financial institutions and investment managers regarding the spin-off and restructuring of investment management businesses, and to investment funds regarding alternative leverage structures, makes him particularly well-suited to address the current needs of clients in our London office.”
