LAWFUEL – Press Release Service – Riker Danzig is pleased to announce that Tiffany M. Williams has been named Young Lawyer of the Year by the New Jersey State Bar Association.
Tiffany M. Williams, an associate with Riker Danzig, practices in the firm’s governmental affairs and litigation groups where she represents business clients and governmental entities in both civil and white collar criminal matters. She formerly served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey. In addition to her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law, Ms. Williams earned both her Masters of Public Administration and a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University. While in law school, she interned with the White House, Office of Legal Counsel.
Active in community service, Ms. Williams serves on several non-profit boards including the YWCA of Central Jersey and the Upper Room Full Gospel Church. Ms. Williams is also a licensed minister at her church where she oversees several ministries, teaches Sunday School and founded a leadership academy for young women. She also serves as Chaplain of the Montclair Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and sponsors the Miss Somerset County Scholarship Pageant, an official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant. Ms. Williams also demonstrates her commitment to public service through volunteering with local, state and national political campaigns and presently serves on the transition team for Newark Mayor Elect Cory Booker. Ms. Williams is also active in the Garden State Bar Association, Association of Black Women Lawyers of NJ, the Morris County Bar and the NJ State Bar Association.
The New Jersey State Bar Association’s Young Lawyer of the Year designation is presented to a lawyer under 36 years of age whose personal and professional achievements merit special recognition and who has made unique community and public service contributions, has actively participated in the organized bar and has stood out in the areas of professional knowledge, skill, integrity and courtesy.
