LAWFUEL- The Law Firm News Wire – Litigation partners Michael Bennett and Joost Verlinden have been named as the new national heads of Linklaters’ litigation and arbitration practice in the UK and Belgium respectively.
Michael Bennett has been with the firm for 18 years, becoming a partner in 1998. He has significant experience in commercial and regulatory disputes in Europe and Asia for major corporates and financial institutions. He takes over as London head of litigation and arbitration from John Turnbull, following John’s recent appointment as Divisional Practice Head for Commercial.

Joost Verlinden has been with the firm since 1991, becoming a partner in 1998. He is a member of the Brussels bar, and has significant experience in all forms of urgent injunctive relief, post-acquisition claims, international sales of goods, construction law, product liability matters, issues of immunity of jurisdiction and immunity of enforcement, bankruptcy law and general commercial litigation and arbitration. He takes over as Belgian head of litigation and arbitration from Johan Verbist who is returning to full-time client work.
