Legal Appointments – Law Firm K&L Gates Names 25 New Partners

New York and London – Lawfuel – Legal Announcement Service — Partners of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP (K&L Gates) recently voted to elect the following 25 lawyers to the firm’s partnership, effective March 1, 2008.

In K&L Gates’ Boston office, Gregg Cosimi, John Cushing and Rebecca Radford were named partner. Cosimi practices in the areas of real estate, finance, and land use planning and zoning. Cushing focuses on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. Radford concentrates in investment management and securities law.

Clifton Dugas II was named a partner in the Dallas office. Dugas focuses his practice on real estate law.

Christopher Nestor and Marsha Sajer were named partners in the Harrisburg office. Both practice in the areas of commercial and environmental litigation. Additionally, Nestor’s work includes tax assessment litigation and zoning and land development litigation. Sajer also focuses on construction litigation and corporate investigations.

In the firm’s London office, Alex Gibson, Oliver Gutman and Rebecca Halford-Harrison were named partners. Gibson practices corporate law, advising on mergers and acquisitions, Gutman focuses his practice on corporate tax and Halford-Harrison advises on patent and trademark matters.

Karen Salas-Morales was named a partner in the Miami office. She practices in the fields of international and corporate law, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Named partner in K&L Gates’ Newark office, Christopher Barbarisi is a member of the firm’s construction and commercial litigation practices.

Joanna Diakos and Eric Moser were named partners in the firm’s New York office. Diakos focuses on the areas of commercial and intellectual property litigation, while Moser practices bankruptcy law.

In the Pittsburgh office, Jeffrey Acre, Eric Cottle, Walter Lannis, Michael Lazzara, Brian Saulnier and Michael Zukowski were named partners. Acre practices corporate and securities law, including mergers and acquisitions. Lannis is a member of the firm’s private clients practice. Lazzara focuses on patents, trademarks and copyright law. Saulnier’s practice includes work in commercial litigation and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and litigation. Both Cottle and Zukowski work in the areas of commercial litigation, product liability and toxic tort.

In K&L Gates’ Portland office, Kevin Burnett was named partner. Burnett practices in the corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital areas.

Named partner in the firm’s San Francisco office, Anup Tikku focuses on intellectual property litigation.

In the Seattle office, Tamara Watts and Trilby Robinson-Dorn were named partners. Watts practices in the tax-exempt organizations and nonprofit institutions area, while Robinson-Dorn focuses on labor and employment law.

Anthony Green and Marc Mehrespand were named partners in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Green focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. Mehrespand practices in the areas of investment management and securities law.
