LONDON, February 10, 2006- LAWFUEL – The Law News Network -Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP announced today that Martin Bartlam will assume the role of office leader of the London office, effective immediately. Bartlam succeeds Adrian Harris whose two-year term as office leader expired at the end of 2005—the year in which the firm more than doubled the size of its London office to more than 50 lawyers.

Bartlam is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and a partner in the Finance Group of Orrick in London. He has extensive experience in U.K. and international financing activities and is one of the leading practitioners in the London market for structured finance, international securities and structured lending transactions.
Prior to joining Orrick, Bartlam was a partner and head of the finance department at Jones Day. Previous experience includes hands-on banking transactional work as head of structured products at Credit Lyonnais in London (now Calyon) and as a member of the debt structuring team of Greenwich Natwest (now RBS).
