London, UK—LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – The London office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP (K&LNG) welcomes Kevin Dean as partner. Dean joins the firm from Stephenson Harwood, where he was Head of Mergers and Acquisitions.

Dean focuses his practice on international M&A, takeovers and corporate finance. He has particular experience in the fund management, transport and leisure sectors in the areas of leading active funds, pension funds, hotel and leisure groups, banks and financial services institutions.

Commenting on the new appointment, K&LNG’s London Administrative Partner Tony Griffiths said: “We are delighted Kevin has chosen to join us. He will make a notable contribution to our well-established corporate and M&A practices. Kevin’s appointment is another top partner-level recruitment from a major firm and follows on from John Enstone, Trevor Nicholls, Martin Lane, Ian Fraser and Jonathan Lawrence, who have all joined us since the combination in January 2005. This confirms our strategy of driving growth in our key practice areas through high level lateral recruitment.”

Dean’s joining coincides with the appointment of Martin Lane as London office Head of Corporate. Lane was previously National Head of Corporate at Pinsent Masons prior to joining K&LNG in May 2005. Since joining he has been involved in a number of transactions for U.S. corporate clients underlining the international nature of the London corporate practice.
