Manchester – 4 June – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Lawyers from DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary (“DLA Piper”) have advised the Mowlem plc and Innisfree Ltd consortium in a £56.6m deal which will see the construction of 13 primary schools.

The consortium is to design, build and operate the new schools at various locations throughout Barnsley. Funding was provided by Dexia Public Finance Bank, who were advised by Norton Rose.

DLA Piper commercial & projects partner Tobor Emakpor said: “We are delighted to have reached financial close on this exciting project. The construction of these schools will make a real difference to many children in Barnsley, delivering 21st century learning facilities.”

British MP George Galloway and his opponent the Daily Telegraph will leave no stone unturned to sort out what could be a spectacular libel case.
