“The nation’s largest companies are expressing a continued commitment to working with a first-class group of diverse lawyers on a national basis,” said Fred Alvaro, a partner who sits on FP&A’s management committee. “Our vision for FP&A is to be able to serve those corporations, as we continue to expand the network of those diverse, first-class lawyers within our firm–first in New England, and now nationwide.”

The rest of the team simply completes a presence of impeccable reputation for corporate representation in a region of the country with a large concentration of existing and potential clients.”
The Partnership has been approved by a vote of the partners and members of both firms and took effect on January 19, 2006.
“We embrace A&Y’s motto. For other firms, diversity is a goal–for us, it’s a fact,” says FP&A partner Michael Fitzhugh, who cites that 40% of the new firm’s lawyers are of lawyers of color; 40% are women; 20% are Hispanic; and 17% are African-American. “The combined firm is ahead of the curve, as major companies begin to recognize what we have understood for years: as the composition of this country’s population changes, the development of minority professionals will drive the success and growth of all of our businesses.”
