New Technology Converts Voice-over-IP Voicemail Messages into Searchable Text Transcripts
ARLINGTON, Va.– LAWFUEL – The Law Newswire –ONSITE3™, a leading global provider of eForensics, eDiscovery, eReview and consulting services offering one source litigation support for law firms and corporations, today announced the addition of voice-to-text conversion capabilities to its Electronic Evidence Enterprise (E3) Platform for fast Electronic Discovery processing. In addition to this new voice to text conversion feature, text transcripts and original media files can also be hosted within ONSITE3’s eView™ document review platform in order to facilitate effective and efficient document review of voice-over-IP based voicemail messages.
“With the increasing use of voice-over-IP technology in corporate communications, legal professionals are being called upon more often to conduct review of audio files as part of the evidence review process. Traditional audio review is an incredibly time intensive task that, with ONSITE3’s new voice-to-text conversion technology, can be significantly decreased,” said Mark Hawn, chief executive officer, ONSITE3. “ONSITE3’s technology enables transcripts of voice-over-IP voicemail messages, which are increasingly available as email attachments in many corporate environments, to be handled in the same manner as other electronic documents. This voice-to-text processing capability can save clients as much as 50 percent on the cost normally associated with conventional audio file review.”
“Voice to text conversion is a great fit for our E3 electronic discovery platform, which accepts data from a variety of sources and provides our clients with a complete solution for electronic processing,” said Chris Jurkiewicz, director of electronic discovery, ONSITE3. “With one Fortune 500 customer already utilizing our voice-to-text conversion feature, this new capability will represent one more differentiating benefit that we can provide customers who chose to use our electronic discovery processing capability.”
In addition to the conversion of many types of audio files, ONSITE3’s new technology can also convert audio tracks from most types of video files into electronic text format, and ONSITE3 can further provide paper to electronic conversion services through its in-house optical character recognition (OCR) scanning technology.
