New York – July 31, 2006 – LAWFUEL – Press Release Service – Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising Greater Media, Inc. in connection with an asset exchange in which Greater Media will acquire Nassau Broadcasting Partners’ 97.5 FM frequency in the Philadelphia market, and Nassau will acquire Greater Media’s 99.5 FM frequency in the Boston market. Debevoise is also advising Greater Media in a separate transaction whereby Greater Media will acquire Boston’s 102.5 WCRB-FM from Charles River Broadcasting. All of the transactions are subject to approval by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and are expected to close in the fall. Greater Media has been a client of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP for over 20 years.
Greater Media will incorporate 97.5 FM into its Philadelphia cluster, which currently includes 93.3 WMMR-FM, 95.7 BEN FM, 102.9 WMGK-FM and Sports Talk 950/WPEN-AM. The call letters and format of the new station have not yet been determined. In Boston, Greater Media plans to move its WKLB country music format to the 102.5 frequency.
