NEW YORK, Nov. 11 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network– On November 10, 2005, the law firm of Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman LLP filed a securities class action lawsuit on behalf of investors who acquired Blockbuster, Inc. (“Blockbuster”) (NYSE:
BBI) shares pursuant to Blockbuster’s exchange offer of Viacom, Inc.
(“Viacom”) stock commencing on September 8, 2004, or on the open market
between September 8, 2004 and August 9, 2005. The lawsuit, based on an
extensive investigation by Milberg Weiss, alleges that Blockbuster, Viacom and
National Amusements, Inc. (Viacom’s controlling shareholder), knowingly or
recklessly made materially false and misleading statements about Blockbuster’s
business performance and prospects.

Also on November 10, 2005, within hours of the filing, the law firm of
Schatz & Noble, P.C., which had not filed its own complaint, or conducted its
own investigation, published a release over the Primezone wire, replicating in
material part the content of the Milberg Weiss notice and purporting to
provide information about the lawsuit and the procedure for being appointed as
lead plaintiff of the lawsuit. Please be advised that this press release
appears to be an advertisement designed to solicit clients so that the firm
can participate in this case.

If you acquired Blockbuster shares in the Exchange Offer, or purchased
Blockbuster shares on the open market between September 8, 2004 and August 9,
2005 you may, no later than, January 9, 2006, request that the Court appoint
you as lead plaintiff. A lead plaintiff is a representative party that acts on
behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. In order to be
appointed lead plaintiff, the Court must determine that the class member’s
claim is typical of the claims of other class members, and that the class
member will adequately represent the class. Under certain circumstances, one
or more class members may together serve as “lead plaintiff.” Your ability to
share in any recovery is not, however, affected by the decision whether or not
to serve as a lead plaintiff. You may retain Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman
LLP, or other counsel of your choice, to serve as your counsel in this action.
The action is pending in the United States District Court for the Northern
District of Texas before the Honorable David C. Godbey against defendants
Blockbuster, Viacom, National Amusements, Inc. (Viacom’s controlling
shareholder) and certain of Viacom and Blockbuster’s officers and directors. A
copy of the complaint filed in this action is available from the Court using
the action number 05 CV 2213, or can be viewed on Milberg Weiss’s website at:
