New York – November 4, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Debevoise & Plimpton LLP represented Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in connection with the execution of a share purchase agreement with Global Petroleum & Gas Industry, L.L.C. (U.S.A.) for the purchase of Gás Participações Ltda. (Brazil) (“Gaspart”). Gaspart is a holding company that owns minority interests in seven local gas distribution companies (“LDCs”) located in seven states in Brazil. The seven LDCs account for nearly 20% of total gas distribution in Brazil. The total purchase price is approximately $250 million. The deal is expected to close early next year.
