New York, NY– The national law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (K&L) is pleased to announce that Mark I. Peroff, founding partner of Trademark & Patent Counselors of America, P.C. (TM&P), and Darren W. Saunders, also a partner at TM&P, have joined the New York office of K&L as partners. Joining Peroff and Saunders are Keith E. Danish as Counsel and two associates, also formerly of TM&P. They will join recent arrivals at K&L New York, Anthony H. Handal and Kelly D. Talcott, both partners and members of the firm’s IP practice.

Peroff concentrates his practice on counseling, litigation, and commercial transactions for multi-national companies in the areas of trademark, trade dress, copyright, false advertising, and unfair competition. A significant segment of his practice pertains to establishment of rights in and enforcement of brand names for global pharmaceutical companies.

Saunders specializes in litigation involving trademarks, copyrights, patents, unfair competition, false advertising and related areas. He also counsels and represents clients on transactional matters involving the licensing, transfer, and securitization of intellectual property.

Commenting on the new arrivals, Woody Collins, the firm’s Administrative Partner in New York, said, “The addition of Mark Peroff and his team will significantly enhance the services we are able to bring to our clients in the field of IP and complements the experience of our approximately 70-lawyer-strong national IP practice. We’re delighted to be welcoming them to K&L.”

British MP George Galloway and his opponent the Daily Telegraph will leave no stone unturned to sort out what could be a spectacular libel case.
