New York, September 14, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Baker & McKenzie and Coudert Brothers announced today that Baker & McKenzie has agreed to acquire substantially all of Coudert’s flagship office in New York.
The Coudert contingent joining Baker & McKenzie is comprised of approximately 70 partners and other legal staff. It includes the key leadership of Coudert’s major practices based in New York, including the highly regarded Securities/Capital Markets practices and the M&A/ Corporate groups. The Coudert additions will more than double Baker & McKenzie’s New York presence to over 135 lawyers and legal staff.
