RICHMOND, Va. – LAWFUEL – Law News Network – McGuireWoods LLP announced it has appointed Terrence M. Bagley and Nancy R. Little as deputy managing partners. Both will report to William J. Strickland, McGuireWoods’ managing partner. Bagley will be responsible for the firm’s litigation group. Little will be responsible for the firm’s business group.

“McGuireWoods determined that creating two deputy managing partner positions would be instrumental in supporting future growth,” said Robert L. Burrus, Jr., chairman of McGuireWoods. “This new structure will allow the managing partner to focus on the strategic direction of the firm, while the deputy managing partners can focus on client service and attorney development.”

Bagley is the current chair of the firm’s Complex Products Liability & Mass Tort Litigation department. He will continue his legal practice, which focuses on products liability, toxic tort and commercial litigation. He has experience in defending clients in automotive, power products and asbestos litigation, as well as in consumer products regulatory matters. He has litigated throughout the United States and has tried products liability cases to verdict in state and federal courts.

Little currently sits on the firm’s Board of Partners and previously chaired the firm’s Real Estate and Environmental department. She will continue her legal practice, in which she focuses on capital markets and real estate law. She has handled transactions for numerous Fortune 500 companies.

“As the firm grows, it’s important that we have the right leadership on and management of strategic and operating issues,” Burrus said. “By adding Nancy and Terry, we leverage proven leaders to address this challenge.”
