Simmons & Simmons’ Hong Kong dispute resolution partner Philip Nunn has been awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) in the Hong Kong 2004 Honours List.
Philip was awarded the BBS in recognition of his public and community service, and in particular for his contribution to the work of the Hong Kong Housing Authority. The Housing Authority, established as a statutory body in 1973, is responsible for building and managing all public housing estates in Hong Kong.
Philip has served the Housing Authority for many years allowing him to help shape the direction of housing policy: he has been on the Building Committee of the Housing Authority for over 12 years, chairing that Committee since 2001, and since 1999, has served as a Member of the Housing Authority and of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Housing Authority.
Commenting on his award, Philip Nunn said:
“I am delighted and honoured to have received this award. The Housing Authority plays an important role in Hong Kong ensuring the successful development and operation of public housing. I am privileged to have played a part in its successes so far and am confident that the Authority will make further strides during the coming years. “
