LAWFUEL – Law Firm Announcement Service – Slaughter and May, one of the leading international law firms, today announces that Graham White has been elected Executive Partner and Paul Olney has been elected Practice Partner with effect from 1 May 2008 for a five year term.
As Executive Partner, Graham White will be the partner responsible for the firm’s overall management strategy including compliance and the finance area. He will succeed Melvyn Hughes who will step down from this role at the end of April. Graham, 52, joined Slaughter and May as an articled clerk in 1978 and became a Partner in 1987. He specialises in commercial real estate work.
As Practice Partner, Paul Olney will be responsible for the planning and development of Slaughter and May’s practice both within the firm and in the international context of its relationships with the leading law firms outside the UK. He will succeed David Frank who is retiring from the firm at the end of April. Paul, 50, joined Slaughter and May as a solicitor in 1983 and became a Partner in 1990. He specialises in corporate and takeover work.
Graham and Paul will work closely with Chris Saul who becomes Senior Partner of Slaughter and May on 1 May in succession to Tim Clark, who is stepping down at the end of April on completion of his second term.
