Tuesday 10 April 2007 LAWFUEL – Law News – Mr Scott James Dawson of Warner, Queensland, has appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today on eight fraud charges brought by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
Mr Dawson, 33, is charged with seven counts of dishonestly causing detriment to six clients totalling $126,754.33 between February 2002 and June 2004. He was also charged with one count of uttering a forged document. Mr Dawson was released on bail and the matter was committed to the Brisbane District Court on a date to be fixed. The matter is being prosecuted by the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
