It is accepts multiple devices such as Programmable Read-Only Memories (PROMs), Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), flash microcontrollers and serial and parallel memories. This universal programmer supports more than 6000 devices for programming or IC testing. It also offers universal DIP, PLCC, QFP, TSOP, PSOP, SOIC, SSOP and SDIP adapters.
The practical universal programmer, model VP280, features a high programming speed, test vector capability, multi-array fuse map editor, and device insertion and poor-pin-contact check. It connects with a computer through USB port. Auto-run mode starts programming automatically upon detection of chip insertion. This programmer runs under Windows2000/NT/9X/ME/XP operating systems and supports most compliers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, OrCAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA. The compact universal programmer includes a 48-pin ZIF socket and supports 8-pin to 48-pin DIP package devices.
