WARSAW — June 9, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The international law firm of Chadbourne & Parke LLP represented Grupa Lotos S.A., Poland’s second largest refiner and its largest shareholder Nafta Polska S.A., in its successful initial public offering. Trading in shares of the company started June 9.

In initial trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, shares rose by more than 10% and posted a 3.45% increase at the close of the session. The IPO has raised PLN 1.015.000.000 PLN (over US$305 million) and is the largest IPO in Poland this year. The remaining 15 IPO’s completed this year in Poland have raised 1.5 billion PLN in aggregate.

Chadbourne’s Warsaw office prepared the legal part of prospectus and was responsible for all legal aspects of the IPO’s regulatory proceedings. Chadbourne attorneys working on the deal were partner Wlodek Radzikowski and international partner Agnieszka Stankiewicz assisted by a number of associates.

Represented TVN, a major Eastern European television company, in its successful IPO. The deal worth approximately US$677 million, closed on December 6, 2004.

Represented Ormat Technologies, Inc., the fastest growing geothermal power generation company in the United States, in its successful IPO of US$100 million of its common stock and listing of the common stock for trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The IPO closed on November 16, 2004.

Represented BorsodChem Rt., a leading European producer of both specialty and commodity chemicals, and one of the largest listed companies in Hungary on the Budapest Stock Exchange, in admitting its ordinary shares to public trading in Poland and listing them on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on October 8, 2004.

Represented Polcolorit S.A., a privately owned manufacturer of ceramic tiles. The total size of the IPO was PLN 143.3 million (equivalent of about US$46.3 million).

Representing a European cable TV and telecommunications company and a Turkish manufacturing company in connection with their IPOs.

Representing a U.S. technology company that is in the preliminary stages of an IPO.
