Boston, MA— LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – The Boston office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP (K&LNG) welcomes Peter J. Marathas as a partner in the firm’s benefits and executive compensation practice. Marathas comes to K&LNG from Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.
Marathas focuses his practice on executive compensation, including employment agreements, stock-based compensation, and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements. He advises clients with respect to the tax, securities and general employment issues arising out of the design and operation of executive compensation arrangements. Marathas is a frequent author and lecturer on a wide variety of executive compensation and employee benefits issues, including among other things the new laws governing non-qualified deferred compensation.
Marathas also counsels his clients regarding welfare, fringe benefits and retirement plans, and has worked extensively with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and other various employment laws and regulations.
