LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – A twist in the custody case involving pop songstress Britney Spears took another turn yesterday when a former bodyguard offered to testify against her at a custody hearing for her two young sons.
Bodyguard Tony Barretto has claimed that he is concerned for the safety of Spears’ two children, from her marriage to Kevin Federline, because of nudity and drug use at her home, RTE Entertainment reports.
Barretto’s lawyer, Gloria Allred, said that her client was not questioned at all but his comments were filed with the court as evidence.
The bodyguard said in the court filing that he began working for Spears after she left a rehabilitation clinic in March of this year and stopped working for her on 17 May.
His lawyer said: “Our client was prepared to testify on issues of nudity by Ms Spears, drug use, and safety issues involving the children post-rehab.”
