Buchalter Adds New Partner in Seattle

Buchalter is pleased to announce that Kristina Maritczak has joined the firm as a Labor and Employment and White Collar Partner in its Seattle office. Drawing from experience in representing companies in numerous industries, as well as high-profile and high net-worth clients, Maritczak works with clients to create strategic crisis management solutions to resolve high-stakes, time-sensitive matters that create reputational risk.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kristina onboard,” said Adam Bass, President and Chief Executive Officer of Buchalter. “Her extensive background in employment and white collar matters makes her a valuable addition to the firm and expands our Seattle office as we grow in the Pacific Northwest.”

Maritczak’s legal experience has provided her with the ability to focus on human resources and employment matters, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, M&A due diligence, litigation, privacy, and cybersecurity. She additionally focuses on investigations involving whistleblower, fraud, malfeasance and employment issues. Maritczak works closely with clients to prevent and mitigate reputational risk. Her practice often involves coordinating national and international teams of experts in disciplines such as surveillance and investigations, forensics, crisis communications, media management, and political consulting.

“Buchalter’s national platform and entrepreneurial culture made the firm a natural fit for me,” said Maritczak. “I look forward to expanding my practice and working with a team that shares my commitment to providing exceptional legal services.”

Additionally, as a result of her experience as a Chief Risk Officer, Maritczak has helped her clients identify major risk areas within their companies and prioritize the assessment, development, and implementation of policies and procedures while positively impacting the company’s financial bottom line. Through her General Counsel experience, Maritczak has been able to develop a unique approach in understanding a company’s operations and implementing compliant strategies while creating financial success for the client’s business to become more competitive in the marketplace.

Maritczak has also served on a number of non-profit Boards of Directors, and she is currently working with local business leaders to create a teen financial literacy and entrepreneurship program to serve as a national model.

Bradley Hoff, Managing Partner of Buchalter’s Seattle office, added, “Kristina’s expertise adds further depth to our bench in labor and employment law. We’re delighted to have her on the team.”
