Charlotte (August 8, 2005) – Kilpatrick Stockton LLP announces the addition of Matthew W. Finniss and Sarah R. Hamilton as associates to the firm’s Financial Transactions, Real Estate and Restructuring Department.
Mr. Finniss’ practice will concentrate in the area of Capital Markets, with an emphasis on the representation of CMBS lenders in conduit loan transactions. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Finniss had experience representing corporate, insurance, small business, and individual clients in a variety of state civil proceedings, including mediations and arbitrations.
Mr. Finniss received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2001, and his B.A. from the University of Rochester, cum laude, in 1998. While at Wake Forest, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and a recipient of the CALI Award in Constitutional Law.
Ms. Hamilton’s concentration is in real estate transactions. She has had ample experience representing clients in issues including foreclosure, internal board disputes, service contracts, claim of liens, and ad valorem tax exemptions. In addition, she has experience counseling clients in real estate transactions and business entity formations.
Ms. Hamilton received her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, 2003; her MBA from Florida State University, 2003; and her B.S. from Florida State University, cum laude, 2000. During her studies at Florida State University, Ms. Hamilton served as Executive Vice President of the MBA Association and acquired an outstanding 50+ hours of Pro Bono legal work. Her practice will focus on the representation of CMBS lenders and assisting and closing conduit mortgage servicing transactions, including loan defeasances, assumptions and lender consent requests.
