CHICAGO, APRIL 8 – Duane Morris LLP, one of the nation’s 100 largest law firms, has added a new partner to its Real Estate Practice Group. David B. Allswang, formerly of Piper Rudnick, has joined the Duane Morris Chicago office.

“David’s background in complex real estate transactions will significantly enhance our ability to serve our clients in that important area,” observed David B. Yelin, who is both Managing Partner of the Chicago office and Chair of that office’s Real Estate Practice Group.

David B. Allswang concentrates his practice in the area of real estate law. He has counseled a wide array of clients regarding the acquisition and disposition of retail, office, residential and industrial properties. Additionally, he is experienced in negotiating commercial leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants. Mr. Allswang also represents lenders and borrowers in connection with loans secured by real estate. David has completed a number of complex lease agreements including corporate headquarters’ lease and build-to-suit leases. David has been a featured speaker at seminars on a variety of real estate topics, including lease negotiation strategies, escrow agreements and closing statements. He is a 1994 cum laude graduate of Boston University School of Law and a magna cum laude graduate of the College of Communication at Boston University.
