Job Details:

The Takeovers Panel is a Crown Entity established under the Takeovers Act. Its purpose is to administer the provisions of the Takeovers Code. The Takeovers Panel plays a crucial part in the regulation of corporate takeover activity in New Zealand and contributes significantly to the public understanding of the Takeovers Code.

The Takeovers Panel is seeking a Solicitor with 3-5 years post admission experience to join the team.

Ideally, you will be a Solicitor from a law firm, regulatory, or compliance environment. Your intellectual ability and your
integrity will command the respect of your peers. You will be conversant with corporate law, with preferably some
exposure to securities law and the Takeovers Code. An active interest in the financial markets will be an advantage
in this particular role.

Your ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills are crucial. You will also possess excellent relationship management skills and oral and written communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team is of real importance to the Takeovers Panel. If you believe you have the right qualities and attributes to succeed in this
