New York – September 5, 2012 – LawFuel Litigation Law News – Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is pleased to announce that Erin W. Sheehy, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, has been named Counsel to the firm, effective September 1, 2012.
Ms. Sheehy is a member of the Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on advising clients in connection with Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission investigations and compliance issues arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and a variety of other securities litigation, enforcement and white collar criminal defense matters. Ms. Sheehy joined the firm in 2001. In 2009, she received a Burton Award for Distinguished Writing as co-author of the article “The Globalization of SEC Enforcement Activities,” published in The Review of Securities & Commodities Regulation (October 2008).
Ms. Sheehy is a member of the bars of New York and the District of Columbia. She received a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2001 from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal, and a B.A. from Brown University in 1993.
