DLA Piper Grows Paris Law Office With Two Partner Appointments In Corporate

Paris – LawFuel – The Legal Announcement Service – DLA Piper today announced that corporate partners, François Serres and Lionel Koehler-Magne, have joined its Corporate practice in Paris from Denton Wilde Sapte. Their arrival marks another significant step in the continued expansion of the Paris office and follows the arrival of a number of additions to the office in recent months.
François has considerable experience advising on corporate transactions in France and other European countries for a range of clients, particularly foreign multinationals. His main areas of practice include mergers, acquisitions, divestments and joint ventures, advising both privately owned and public companies. François is a member of the Paris bar.

Lionel is a very well established and renowned corporate lawyer who specialises in mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and joint ventures for French and foreign multinationals. He also has extensive experiences advising French multinationals and subsidiaries on M&A and commercial and litigation related matters. Lionel is also a member of the Paris bar.

François and Lionel will give DLA Piper’s Corporate practice in Paris a significant boost, providing additional strength in mergers and acquisitions, working alongside Capital Markets and Regulatory partner, Anne Maréchal, and Corporate Location Head, Fabrice Rué.

The arrival of the new corporate team follows a wave of recent partner appointments to the Paris office, which include the arrival of Jean-Luc Cuadrado (tax), Emmanuelle Payrau-Sorba, Jean-Philippe Sorba (litigation) and Marie Hindré-Guéguen (competition) from Proskauer Rose earlier this month. They were closely preceded by the arrival in January of tax partner, Philippe de Guyenro and in November 2007 banking and finance specialists, Véronique Collin and Clotilde Dirnat joined the team.
