BALTIMORE MD June 12, 2008 (LAWFUEL) – Ober|Kaler is pleased to announce that it has received the 2008 Pacesetter Award from the Legal Aid Bureau’s Equal Justice Council. The award was presented at the Council’s Eleventh Annual Awards and Recognition Breakfast on May 22, 2008 in honor of the firm’s significant support of Legal Aid’s annual campaign.
Established in 1911, the Legal Aid Bureau is a private, non-profit law firm providing free civil legal services to low-income Marylanders. The Equal Justice Council supports that mission by increasing and diversifying Legal Aid’s resources, serving as its advocates and ambassadors, and educating the public about its programs.
Neil E. Duke, a principal in Ober|Kaler’s Employment & Labor Group and pro bono counsel for Legal Aid, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
