Firms Partner to Help Companies Respond
CHICAGO & SAN FRANCISCO–LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Law Jobs –New rules taking effect today explicitly require discovery of electronically stored information in all Federal civil cases. Although the rule changes have been in the works for years, only seven percent of corporate lawyers think their companies are adequately prepared, according to a recent study by Pike & Fischer.
To help companies mitigate the substantial risks of non-compliance, Kahn Consulting, Inc., and Strategic Discovery, Inc. are partnering to offer a new joint consulting service. The offering, which leverages Kahn Consulting’s expertise in records and information management, and Strategic Discovery’s depth of experience in complex e-discovery management, will provide a customized roadmap to full compliance with the records and e-discovery requirements of the amended Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. This E-Discovery Bridge service will help organizations identify and close gaps between their current e-discovery practices and practices mandated by the new Rules.
Kahn Consulting helps organizations build and implement records and information management programs that address both business goals and legal requirements. Strategic Discovery helps organizations prepare for – and respond to – requests to produce electronically stored information in the context of litigation. By joining together, the two firms will provide clients with a complete offering that addresses both proactive and reactive e-discovery and information management needs.
“Although the full impact of the pending Rule changes will likely only be realized over a period of years, the changing legal environment makes clear that organizations need to get their information management house in order,” said Randolph Kahn, Esq., president of Kahn Consulting. “Our partnership with Strategic Discovery will allow us to offer a unique approach that addresses our client’s needs before, during, and after litigation.”
While both companies have independently offered related services, the combination of expertise is compelling, according to Adam Bendell, President of Strategic Discovery. “Kahn Consulting is a thought leader in electronic records management. They are not afraid to rethink some of the antiquated approaches which have dominated corporate records management. With this partnership we can meet our clients increasing desire for end-to-end programs for information management that account for the complexities of enterprise information technology and the realities of litigation.”
The E-Discovery Bridge service is available now.
