Confoy is well-known for her extensive litigation experience in New Jersey federal district court, where she represents clients in complex litigation and business intellectual property disputes as well as in class actions and nationally coordinated cases spanning numerous jurisdictions.

“Karen adds notable power to our already strong local and nationwide trial team,” said Matthew H. Currently ranked #6 among New Jersey law firms by the New Jersey Law Journal, Fox has three offices in the state with more than 150 attorneys.

Serving as New Jersey litigation counsel for a variety of leading national law firms across the country, Confoy handles commercial cases, copyright and trademark infringement and trade secret misappropriation cases, and patent actions. She also counsels clients on contract and regulatory compliance matters, and represents clients in New Jersey administrative and regulatory matters, including matters involving state and local contested public contract awards.

In addition to her litigation practice, Confoy advises clients on employee benefits, wage and hour law, state and federal leave law and individual and group terminations.

Confoy is a member of the Lawyers Advisory Committee for the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, and has served on two Merit Selection Committees for the selection and reappointment of Federal Magistrate Judges, as well as the District VII (Mercer County) Ethics Committee of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Her memberships also include the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Federal Practice and Procedure Section and The Association of the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey. Additionally, Confoy serves on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of Trenton/Ewing, a nonprofit service organization that delivers meals to the homebound.

Confoy earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law — Camden in 1985 and her B.A. from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 1981.
