Giuliani And Clinton Gather In New York For 9/11 Commemoration As bin Laden Video Emerges

LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – As the second video from Osama bin Laden is aired, America plans for the commemoration of the attack the terror leader orchestrated upon the country.

Among those gathered in New York are presidential contenders Rudolph Giuliani, mayor of New York at the time of the attacks, and Hillary Clinton. The 9/11 attacks killed nearly 3000 people.

The New York Stock Exchange will have a minute of silence at 9:29 a.m. The Nasdaq Stock Market asked traders to observe one at 10:29 a.m., to mark the fall of the second tower. At Ground Zero, relatives of the victims will descend a ramp to the bedrock that many of them consider hallowed ground.

In Washington, Defense Secretary Robert Gates will attend a service at the Pentagon, where hijackers slammed American Airlines Flight 77 into the building, killing 184.

And in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where 33 passengers and seven crew members of United Airlines Flight 93 lost their lives, “bells of remembrance” will toll at 9:55 a.m. and the names of the flight’s passengers and crew will be read.
