Clients, Lexmark and DaVita, Name Firm to List in IP and Corporate Transaction Categories
BOSTON– LAWFUEL –Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. announced that Corporate Counsel magazine has named the firm to its fifth annual 2008 “In-House Law Departments at the Top 500 Companies Go-To” law firm list. Two of Mintz Levin’s top clients, Lexmark and DaVita, chose the firm for the list. Lexmark selected the firm for its intellectual property practice and DaVita selected the firm for its intellectual property and corporate practices.
Paul Hayes, a member in the Intellectual Property Section, has led a team serving Lexmark in IP litigation for fifteen years. Deborah Daccord, a member in the firm’s Health Law practice and Corporate Section, has headed a team handling DaVita’s transactional work for approximately seven years. Susan Weller, a member in the firm’s Washington office, manages the firm’s trademark practice and has managed DaVita’s trademark work for approximately five years.
Firms on the list were selected using survey data collected from general counsel at each of the top 500 company’s primary law firms and through analysis and research of various resources including public records, leading publications and ALM media databases.
