Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. (www.GAOTek.com) has launched its handheld signal level analyzer for CATV system installation and testing. It measures CATV TILT, C/N and trunk cable voltage effectively and accurately.This handheld level analyzer is designed for testing CATV signal levels in both channel (SCAN) and frequency (SPECTRUM) modes. In “SCAN” mode, the analyzer scans all channels and records signal levels in internal memory for later analysis. In “SPECTRUM” mode, it displays the spectrums and tests frequency range.
This signal level analyzer, model 8385, is equipped with a large LCD screen for clear display of test results. It features auto-off time setup, level unit setup, frequency setup, TILT channel setup, channel plan selection and channel edition sorting. This handheld level analyzer operates over a wide frequency range from 5MHz to 870MHz. It supports a level range of 30dBμV to 120dBμV at a high accuracy of ±1.5dBuV (Indoor temperature) or ±2.5dBuV (-10°C to 40°C). The analyzer is able to scan up to 125 channels at a speed of 30channels/m within its operating frequency range. Moreover, 24 groups of data can be stored in the analyzer memory – 100 channels per group.
