WASHINGTON, DC – January 3, 2012 Ober|Kaler announced today that Alan J. Arvillehas been elected a principal of the firm, effective January 1, 2012.
Mr. Arville is resident in Ober|Kaler’s Washington, DC, office as a member of the firm’s HealthLaw Group. He focuses his practice on transactional and regulatory issues for the health care industry, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, corporate governance, managed care contracting, fraud and abuse, MedicareAdvantage and Medicare Part D compliance, tax exemption and health care licensing. His clients include regional and national pharmacy chains, health care systems and long term care providers. He also advises nonprofit governing boards and board committees ontax-exemption law issues, conflicts of interest, bylaws preparation and general corporate governance.
In 2008, Mr. Arville was named one of the “OutstandingYoung Health Care Lawyers for 2008” by Nightingale’s Healthcare News. He is also a frequent author and speaker on health care topics.
Mr. Arville is active in the American Health Lawyers Association and the DC Bar Health LawSection. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center (JD, cum laude, 2003) and the University of Dayton (BA, 2000)
