Healthcare Lobbyist Miranda Franco Joins Holland & Knight

(April 12, 2013) Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Miranda Franco has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a senior public affairs advisor with the firm’s Healthcare and Life Sciences Team. Ms. Franco’s focus at Holland & Knight will be on federal legislative and regulatory issues that affect clients in the healthcare industry.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Franco served as the government affairs representative for the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) where she lead the association’s advocacy efforts to help medical group practices meet the challenges posed by today’s rapidly evolving healthcare marketplace. Ms. Franco also worked for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons lobbying members of Congress on federal healthcare issues affecting their membership, including Medicare reimbursement issues.

Ms. Franco currently serves on the board of directors for the DC+Acumen, a local chapter of the Acumen Fund, a not-for-profit that works to eliminate poverty by investing in social enterprises, emerging leaders, and breakthrough ideas.

Ms. Franco received her B.A. degree from Ohio University and her M.A. degree from Johns Hopkins University.
