HEMPSTEAD, N.Y., Oct. 12 2004 LAWFUEL – Law, SEC, legal, attorney, law firm news— Corporate directors and their
advisors will hear first-hand details of the future of Corporate Governance
from Harvey J. Goldschmid, commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange
Commission on Oct. 15 at Hofstra University. In addition, participants will
hear from attorneys at leading law firms and corporate leaders from such
companies as International Paper in discussions about white collar crime,
bankruptcy, Sarbanes Oxley and other major issues in corporate governance.

Details: “The Changed World of Corporate Governance: A Conference for
Corporate Directors and Their Advisors,” will be held on
Friday, October 15, 2004 from 8:30 until 5:30 pm at Hofstra
University School of Law.

Topics include: Duties of Directors, Audit Committees,
Financial Matters, Problems of Takeovers, Nominating and
Corporate Governance, Compensation Committee and Conflicts
of Interest.

Registration
Fee: The registration fee is $595 (a few slots still available)
Current law-school students with ID is $95. Recent law
school graduates (within the past two years with either an
expired ID or documentation of graduation), may register for
$195. All fees include breakfast, lunch and dinner.
