CHICAGO – Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, is pleased to announce that attorney Hermine Valizadeh has been elected to the national board of directors of the Iranian American Bar Association (IABA). Voting for the new board members was held in February and 11 new board members were elected. The IABA has seven chapters nationwide and each local chapter elects one member to represent it on the national board. The national board also has three at-large members and one student member.
Ms. Valizadeh focuses her practice on patent prosecution and litigation in computer, Internet and electrical arts. She has more than nine years of professional experience in engineering and information technology. Her technology experience encompasses all facets of systems and systems engineering, including architecture design, configuration, integration, implementation, operating systems, networking technologies and database development. Ms. Valizadeh received her J.D. from the New England School of Law and her B.S., with distinction, in electrical engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
The Iranian American Bar Association was established in 2000 by four people in Washington D.C. as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Now, with over 600 members, the IABA is a non-religious, educational organization that seeks to inform the Iranian American community about legal issues of interest and to ensure that the public is accurately informed on matters of concern to the Iranian American community.
