Australia, 26 March 2026 – National law firm Holding Redlich today announces its 19th consecutive year as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Australian Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
The recognition reflects the firm’s continued focus on delivering measurable outcomes across pay equity, supported by career development programs and flexible working policies.
Holding Redlich National Managing Partner, Troy Lewis, says this year’s citation reflects a more rigorous assessment framework with two tiers of recognition, and that Holding Redlich has received the more stringent Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation.
“Achieving this recognition from WEGA reflects a sustained focus on delivering consistent and measurable gender equality outcomes, supported by structured policies and continuous improvement across the business,” he said. “Holding Redlich’s policies, leadership capability and day-to-day practices aim to support equitable outcomes at every stage of the employee lifecycle, including a paid parental leave offering of 26 weeks for primary carers, alongside structured career development and return-to-work support.”
“While it is positive to see the national median employer gender pay gap narrowing to 16.4 per cent, we remain focused on supporting women at all stages of their careers. This includes ongoing analysis of remuneration data, benchmarking against industry standards and gender pay equity audits,” Troy adds.
“It is these constant actions and self-review that ensure all our employees are fairly represented, equally valued, and rewarded in the workplace.”
WGEA’s Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation recognises Australian organisations that act towards improving gender equality outcomes and upholding gender equality as an integral component of workplace and business practices. The citation acknowledges organisations that demonstrate a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to gender equality, including leadership accountability, policy implementation and measurable outcomes in areas including training and development, recruitment, staff promotion, employee pay equity, and flexible working.
WGEA CEO Mary Wooldridge congratulated Holding Redlich for their work to be recognised through the WGEA Workplace Gender Equality citation. “Holding the Workplace Gender Equality citation provides national recognition that Holding Redlich is deeply committed to positive action to achieve gender equality in their workplace,” Ms Wooldridge said.
“Citation holders demonstrate strong gender-equal outcomes at the moments that matter most to women and men at work. They go beyond policy and programs, embedding gender equality into the everyday employee experience.”
“Committing to clear targets and using insights from employee surveys, these employers turn data into action, strengthening safety, fairness and opportunity for everyone in their organisation.”
Holding Redlich continues to focus on strengthening female representation across senior lawyer, management and partnership levels, supported by targeted development initiatives, succession planning and inclusive leadership practices.
