How A DC Lawyer Helped Holocaust Victims

Pro bono law is a key component of many law firm and many lawyers’ contribution to their communities. But when Akin Gump partner Raphael Prober took in a pro bono case involving the co-ordination of over 50 lawyers and other agencies it involved a massive amount on behalf of holocaust victims.

Many pro bono lawyers feel a high sense of achievement and satisfaction from their work. As the ABA Journal reported in the Holocaust work carried out by Raphael Prober it achieved even more:

I felt a tremendous, sometimes overwhelming, sense of responsibility. These survivors suffered in such incomprehensible ways and were denied justice for so long, and they deserved it so richly.
