Hong Kong – 2 June – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary (“DLA Piper”) today announced the appointment of Daniel Chan, who will head up its Asian Tax Practice.
Daniel has over 11 years experience in PRC inbound investment and taxation. He worked as a partner at international and local law firms in Hong Kong and Toronto prior to joining DLA Piper.
Daniel specialises in a wide range of practices including foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisition as well as PRC taxation. His tax practice includes corporate and individual tax planning, incentives, M&A tax planning, indirect tax and customs planning, tax planning for services, employee relocation and executive compensation.
“China is a key market for multinational corporations and we foresee increasing demand for cross-border tax and custom services. Daniel’s expertise in China investment and taxation will enable us to provide our clients with unique solutions. In addition to his tax practice Daniel advises companies and individuals on supply chain management, procurement, distribution, franchising, retail and after sales services.

Daniel Chan was named one of the top lawyers in Asia in both 2004 and 2005 editions of Asia Law Leading Lawyers. He is also named a leading authority in the practice of Chinese corporate and commercial law by Asia Pacific Legal 500.
He joined DLA Piper as a partner earlier this month.
