Treasury Power

Last Year: 15

Jeremy Salmond

Formerly the Treasury’s head of legal, Jeremy Salmond has now moved to a new role as Director of the Judicial Office for Senior Courts at the interface between the executive and the judiciary.

At a time when political and other issues are increasingly holding the potential for judicial involvement, the role is a key one requiring the skills that Jeremy Salmond has learned through his time at Treasury and also bringing with them his political and constitutional experience learned through his time as Acting Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet in 2014.

His position is reduced somewhat from last year, as a result of his role change, but he remains a significant power player in the List.
