Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Mindy Planer has recently joined the firm’s Financial Transactions, Real Estate and Restructuring Department. Ms. Planer, Counsel, is resident in Kilpatrick Stockton’s Atlanta office.
Ms. Planer has practiced in the finance, creditor’s and real estate areas for nearly 20 years. She has extensive experience in real estate finance and mortgage servicing issues. Ms. Planer has represented leading mortgage loan servicers since 1988, when she represented various Standard Asset Management and Disposition Agreements (SAMDA) contractors in connection with the workout, sale and disposition of commercial mortgage loans. In addition, Ms. Planer has substantial experience in developing and implementing conduit lending programs .
Ms. Planer graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia (ABJ) and earned her Juris Doctor ,with honors, from Emory University School of Law. She was a member of the Order of Coif and Executive Articles Editor for the Bankruptcy Developments Journal. She is on the boards of Chabad Intown, Anti-Prejudice Consortium and Greenfield Hebrew Academy. Ms. Planer is a well-recognized lecturer for continuing legal education programs and real estate trade groups on various topics, including issues concerning Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS).
