Levy Also Selected to Top 100 Listing
WASHINGTON, DC (March 30 – LAWFUEL) — Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Mark Levy and Mark Wincek were selected as a 2009 Washington, DC Super Lawyers. This distinction denotes that they attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement as some of the region’s pre-eminent lawyers.
In addition, Mr. Levy was named one of the Top 100 DC Super Lawyers for being among a select group to receive the highest point totals in the nomination process.
To determine the winners, Law & Politics Media surveyed more than 35,000 active lawyers throughout Washington, DC and conducted independent research. The result is a comprehensive and diverse listing of the top five percent of Washington, DC attorneys.
Recognized by Super Lawyers in the Appellate practice area, Mark Levy is Chair of the Kilpatrick Stockton Supreme Court and Appellate Advocacy Group. He recently argued his 16th case in the U.S. Supreme Court, and the National Law Journal referred to him as one of the “ ‘ who’s who’ of Supreme Court bar veterans arguing this term.” Mr. Levy has been involved in well over 100 cases on the merits before the Court, served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division at the Department of Justice in the Clinton Administration, and previously was an Assistant to the Solicitor General. He is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure and on the adjunct faculty at the University of Virginia Law School. Mr. Levy is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and a Master in the Edward Coke Appellate American Inn of Court.
He is an appellate columnist for National Law Journal and is frequently quoted by some of the world’s leading news organizations.
