Kilpatrick Stockton LLP announced today that Steve Berlin has been elected to serve on the firm’s Executive Committee. Mr. Berlin heads the firm’s Environmental Practice Group and is located in the Winston-Salem office.

Mr. Berlin’s practice focuses on environmental law and litigation. He is listed in the 2005-2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Environmental Law. Mr. Berlin has also been named to Business North Carolina’s 2004 Legal Elite List. In July, 2003, he became the President of the Forsyth County Bar Association. Prior to joining Kilpatrick Stockton in 1986, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Hiram H. Ward, Chief United States District Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina.

Steve earned his law degree, cum laude, from Wake Forest University, where he served on the Wake Forest Law Review. He taught at Wake Forest University School of Law for over 12 years, where he was also the coach of the highly successful National Trial Court Team. Steve has published papers and organized seminars on various environmental issues, including medical monitoring, lender liability and underground storage tanks.
