WASHINGTON, DC (October 14) – LawFuel.com Legal Newswire – Kilpatrick Stockton LLP announced today the addition of attorneys David Cox and Jennifer Rasile Everitt as counsel, and Julie Podlesni as an associate, to its Insurance Coverage Team. They are joining Kilpatrick Stockton’s Washington, DC office from Dickstein Shapiro LLP.
The additions of Mr. Cox, Ms. Everitt, and Ms. Podlesni come after Kilpatrick Stockton recently announced that partners Barry Fleishman and Erica Dominitz joined the firm’s Insurance Coverage Team in Washington, D.C. from Dickstein Shapiro LLP.

David Cox focuses on complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Cox has represented corporate policyholders in connection with civil actions and arbitrations involving a wide range of commercial insurance and reinsurance issues, including bodily injury liabilities, environmental liabilities, catastrophic property losses, copyright infringements, directors and officers and fiduciary liabilities, and professional malpractice. Mr. Cox has been a regular commentator for Mealey’s Litigation Report: Insurance Bad Faith and also has experience in consulting on complex e-discovery issues.
He has been actively involved in the legal representation of pro bono clients, including the successful resolution of a federal civil rights case and a complex mortgage rescue scam case. Mr. Cox has participated in the Street Law Program in partnership with the Georgetown University Law Center and the District of Columbia Public School System. He also staffs the District of Columbia Bar’s Landlord Tenant Resource Center.
Mr. Cox received his B.S., cum laude, from Appalachian State University, and his J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the National Trial Team, an officer of the Trial Law Academy, a member of the Pro Bono Board, and a staff member of the North Carolina Law Review.
Jennifer Rasile Everitt focuses primarily on representing corporate policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. Ms. Everitt also focuses on complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage litigation. She has represented corporate policyholders in connection with civil actions and arbitrations involving a wide range of commercial insurance and reinsurance issues, including bodily injury liabilities, environmental liabilities, catastrophic property losses,
copyright infringements, directors and officers and fiduciary liabilities, and professional malpractice.
Ms. Everitt has also represented corporate clients in employment disputes, insurance coverage disputes, consumer complaints, and franchise disputes.
She is admitted to practice in Virginia and District of Columbia and is a member of the American Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, and Fairfax County Bar Association. Ms. Everitt has been actively involved in District of Columbia Bar’s Landlord Tenant Resource Center and has represented several pro bono clients in housing matters.
Ms. Everitt received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her J.D., cum laude, from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
Julie Podlesni focuses primarily on insurance coverage matters. She has experience representing corporate policyholders in coverage disputes related to complex environmental actions and first party property claims. Ms. Podlesni has also represented clients in pro bono matters, including federal and state claims related to discrimination against the disabled. She also contributed to Misrepresentation: Insurance Company Efforts to Avoid Statutory Requirements in the Insurance Coverage Law Bulletin.
Ms. Podlesni received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as an Essays Editor for the Virginia Law Review. She received her B.S. from the College of William and Mary, graduating magna cum laude and with high honors in Government.
