ATLANTA (March 4) – LAWFUEL.com – Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Partner Randy Hafer was formally admitted as a Fellow into the prestigious American College of Construction Lawyers (ACCL) in a ceremony held recently in San Antonio. ACCL membership is comprised of the top 1 percent of the construction bar in the United States and also includes lawyers and judges from Canada, Britain, and France. Mr. Hafer joins Kilpatrick Stockton Partner Tony Smith as an ACCL Fellow.
Prospective members go through a thorough membership process and must be proposed for membership by a Fellow in good standing, seconded by at least two other Fellows who have personal knowledge of the nominee, and nominated by the Membership Committee. Their election by the Board of Governors is ratified by the entire membership. The college inducts a limited number of new members each year. To be eligible, a lawyer must be admitted to practice law before the highest court of his or her respective state, territory or country and have been actively and continuously engaged in the full time practice or teaching of law for a combined total of at least 15 years and meet the following qualifications:
• Devotion of the majority of their professional time to the practice or teaching of construction law for a period of at least ten years immediately preceding nomination;
• Significant and outstanding service and contribution to the practice of construction law; and
• Demonstration of the highest ethical and professional standards of practice.
Randy Hafer leads Kilpatrick Stockton’s Construction and Infrastructure Development Team and is Chair of the firm’s Executive Committee. Throughout his entire career Mr. Hafer has focused his practice on issues related to the construction industry. He has been involved in matters across the United States on a wide variety of construction projects, including mass transit systems, tunnels, airports, power plants, waste water treatment plants, bridges and highways, hospitals, office buildings, sports arenas, resort condominiums, universities and schools, manufacturing and processing facilities, and military facilities. Mr. Hafer has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Construction Law as well as by Chambers USA.
For the past 20 years, Mr. Hafer’s practice has focused on the representation of public owners on some of the world’s largest public works projects, including the following:

Mr. Hafer received his Juris Doctor, with high honors, from the University of Tennessee and his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Georgia State University.
