Law Firm Continues Strategic Expansion Plan To Increase Presence In Key Markets
DETROIT – 22 December 2004 – LAWFUEL – First with law news – Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that it has completed its move to 40,000 square feet of new space in One Detroit Center in downtown Detroit, with expansion options for more space to accommodate future growth.
The move exemplifies the strategic focus that Foley & Lardner has placed on its Detroit office. Since the firm entered the Detroit market in October 2000 to strengthen its Midwest and national practice depth, the office has grown from eight to nearly forty attorneys.
During that time, the firm identified areas that complemented the needs of its clients and built strong practices by adding attorneys in bankruptcy, white collar defense and corporate compliance, and regulatory and government contracts, as well as strengthening its litigation and corporate/securities practices. The firm also created an Automotive Industry Team – based in Detroit but drawing on all of the firm’s areas of expertise – that focuses on the needs of the automotive industry generally and automotive suppliers in particular. Foley & Lardner is the only national law firm with a significant Detroit presence focused on the needs of the automotive industry.
