Law Firm Newswire – Attorney Joins Luce Forward Orange County Team

Attorney Ryan C. Stottlemyer recently joined Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, one of California’s leading full-service law firms, as an associate in the firm’s Orange County office. While a member of Luce Forward’s real estate and environmental litigation practice group, Stottlemyer will also work with the firm’s commercial finance and insolvency practice.

Stottlemyer’s move to Luce Forward follows that of Jess Bressi, a Partner who joined the firm last month. Both previously worked together at Cox, Castle & Nicholson. Bressi’s practice includes financial remedies, bankruptcy, business litigation, real estate development, construction, and secured transaction disputes. Both Bressi and Stottlemyer also work together in the distressed real estate arena, helping their clients acquire distressed real estate loans and assets for profit.

“Ryan is a diverse real estate litigator with a broad background who will be an excellent addition to our growing Orange County office and vibrant real estate practice,” said Kurt L. Kicklighter, Luce Forward’s Managing Partner. “We value the contribution he will make to the firm and our clients.”

Stottlemyer advises real estate owners, investors, developers, lenders, and other real estate professionals regarding the rights and remedies associated with their business disputes. His work includes contract and specific performance actions, guarantor litigation, and lender liability issues, as well as creditor’s rights and debtor protection matters. In addition, Stottlemyer is experienced with unfair competition litigation, trade secret and misappropriation cases, and partnership and shareholder disputes.

“Luce Forward has a rich history in providing superior legal services for real estate and business professionals throughout California,” Stottlemyer said. “I am excited to join the growing Orange County office, and look forward to contributing to the firm’s litigation services.”

Luce Forward’s Orange County office opened in 2007 and with the addition of Stottlemyer now has 20 attorneys. Stottlemyer is actively involved in the Orange County Bar Association and is a member of its Resolutions Committee and Community Outreach Committee. He received his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego.
