Erik Bierbauer, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on government and internal investigations, media law and general commercial litigation. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2000, Mr. Bierbauer served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable George H. King of the U. S. District Court for the Central District of California (1999 to 2000). He received his J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from New York University School of Law (1999), where he was an Articles Editor for the New York University Law Review, his M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism (1995), and his B.A., cum laude, from Cornell University (1994).
Erich O. Grosz, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and internal investigations, products liability defense and general commercial litigation. Mr. Grosz joined Debevoise in 1999 and served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Alvin K. Hellerstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (2000 to 2001) and the Honorable Chester J. Straub of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit (2001 to 2002) prior to returning to the firm in 2002. He received his J.D., Order of the Coif, from Stanford Law School (1999), where he was an Articles Editor of the Stanford Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Princeton University (1996).
Felicia A. Henderson, based in the firm’s Paris office, is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. Her practice focuses on advising corporations and private equity funds in cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic transactions. She is also regularly involved in IPOs and other equity offerings, high yield and convertible debt offerings and private placements of securities representing issuers, underwriters/lead managers and institutional and individual selling shareholders. Ms. Henderson joined Debevoise in 1997 and practiced in the New York office until her 2001 transfer to the Paris office. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School (1997), where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Women’s Law Journal, and her B.A., cum laude, from Duke University (1994).
Nicola C. Port, based in the firm’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on global FCPA investigations, international insurance and reinsurance matters, and international commercial arbitration. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2001, Ms. Port practiced in the Zurich office of Pestalozzi Lachenal & Patry, and clerked for the Zurich District Court. She received her LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law (2001), and her Swiss Law Degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Zurich Law School (1997).
Gaëtan Verhoosel, currently based in the firm’s Paris office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on international commercial and investment treaty arbitration and cross-border litigation. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2002, Mr. Verhoosel served as a legal advisor to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. He received his J.S.D. and LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law (2001 and 2000), his Belgian Law Degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Leuven (1996), and his Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (1997).
